Lately its been separating mind from the beta waves of the boob tube. reading from my new e-reader(its great), Khalil Gibran nuggets, thinking bout a neu boo, getting the hell away from here, life (this thing is soo real): if you live it like its not real it will turn out that way.

WHAT in the world.

watching: last episode of Conan was awesome(zz,beck,harper,conan should really be a band), excess baggage(Benicio's character=YES!, Christopher Walken!!), the last supper(i stumbled upon a dark comedy- thats pretty damn sweet), LIFE.

listening: dj alf alpha's(myspace), jay electronica(mostly victory and girlfriend), speak(applebird music), buff 1(1derful life), danny brown(dsom:series), black milk ( ELEC)...

feeling: myself,up then down then up again, optimistic,stuck,frustrated.

writing: poetry,music lyrics, my heart,app essays(not really though)

calling: home!!

Been movie watching the past few days and It would be best for me to watch movies everyday.(at least one per day),period. (I just need to know the craft.)
iTs best especially when you watch freaking Raging Bull for the first time!

DeNiro's performance made me want to act even more;though honestly at first I wanted to change fields because Robert De Niro put together such a beautiful person, portraying Jake LaMotta! The way he initially approached Vickie, is the image and attitude I will have now every time I approach a lady of interest,lol. As you watch the movie pay attention to the performance of Joe Pesci (GREAT SUPPORTING ROLE) who I never knew could act because the first movie I ever saw him in was Home Alone; Pesci is great! Scorsese,Schrader ...bea-utiful! The fact that the movie was in black and white only intensified the performances and cinematography. ALL AROUND GREAT MOVIE,GREAT TEAM...what a dream.



Then, this morning I watched Leaving Las Vegas ; different to say the least, I like the view it portrayed.I saw it as telling the story of actual dirt going on in Vegas with regular people (a drunk and a "trick") she needs his company(comfort) and consistency, he needs a place to stay(comfort and stability). Good movie I'd watch it again.

Listening to : Sardonic Smirk Mixtape(yesterday); and James Brown"In The Jungle Groove"(Monday) over the weekend(he really says random things in his music and its funny to me; and this particular album has Bootsy as well as Sweet Charles,Fred Thomas on bass and Clyde Stubblefield as well as Jabo, and Melvin Parker on drums)Its Beastly!


Reading : Education and the Significance of Life by Jiddu Krishnamurti
This book fills in the circle of Jiddu for me. I first heard one of his dialogues(october/november 09) and last weekend I saw Farmington Library had this book(very surprised). I picked it for numerous reasons mainly to expand my thinking more and consider my education enrolling in school next year.

Im not sure why but I'm feeling so west coast. I am currently listening to one of my favourite albums ever (perhaps I'll give you a list)Dr.Dre's "The Chronic". Absolute must have for any hip-hop junkie. i can listen to this album from top to bottom without wanting to skip any tracks; which to me is a high praise. anywho... just here to let you know that I love "The Chronic". and It comes a time in a music listeners life when an artist catches them off guard and they find themselves a fan of the artist. For me that jsut happens to be the Legend Barry White! AMAZING. His band is on point I love teh funk. The mix between live instruments and percussion with a splash of synthesizer, its absolutely beautiful. aight im done... move on.

Mos def is a well known DOOM fan and has expressed his desire to work with DOOM time and time again. I am a DOOM fan and have expressed my desire to meet,see him live, time and time again (lol). All my friends look at me with the Crazy face when I tell them My number one favourite Mc is DOOM! Now I'm a bad fan because his lyrics are so abstract and ish I have a hard time reciting them, but thats ok...because I'm getting better at it. Anywho as I have said earlier DOOM v. Monch v. Em! thats all Im sayin' . I'll leave the judging up to you.

Sebastien Tellier's Fifth Actual album but Third Album with all new content(the other two were compilations and fusions of other efforts.)"Sexuality" was released back in February, So i most definitely must cop that. Not too mention I just found out about him and I was informed that guy-Man produced the ALbum entirely!!!! WTFoghorn! Information Station: (Sebastien Tellier is one of the best singers and songwriters in France now, and Guy-Man is one of the most influential producers EVER and in France. Guy-Man is short for Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo aka 1/2 of Daft Punk! so imagine an album produced by two of the best in their respective fields...yah i know. The album sounds nothing like any previous Daft Punk Work or Album, and the same goes for sebastien This sounds unlike anyother album he has made/produced..in fact this is the first studio Album produced by someone other than Sebastien...)STATION ABORT! Now that you know that...um perhaps you can be an excited as I am. Im getting foreing on 'em they aint ready...lol and in case you were wondering about the albums vulgarity or content, "It's very electronic and like intellectual R&B, although not in the same way that Beyoncé or Justin Timberlake are R&B... I tried to keep vulgarity away from sex and my music." Sebastien Tellier on his album "Sexuality".

This album is very memorable for me. While I was away in Japan music comforted me when I was homesick. Im not sure how it exactly works but somehow I find comfort in songs and these songs trigger memories of being someplace and having a certain mindset.
